High on Knife DLC for High on Life Gets Official Release Date
High on Knife, the highly anticipated first DLC for the popular game High on Life, now has an official release date just in time for the spooky season. The DLC is set to launch on October 3rd and will be available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 4 and 5. Previously exclusive to Xbox consoles, High on Life surprised fans by launching on PS4 and PS5 in July.
This horror-inspired expansion takes a dive into body horror, as revealed by Squanch at San Diego Comic-Con. To give players a taste of what’s to come, an eerie claymation trailer has been released.
While the exact price for the DLC is still unknown, Chief Creative Officer Mikey Spano and Design Director Erich Meyr confirmed in an interview that High on Knife will offer plenty of new content. Players can expect 52 new characters in addition to the existing ones like Knifey, Gene, and the three guns from the base game.
Harper, an ex-military pistol dealing with a traumatic past, and B.A.L.L., a pinball-inspired gun operated by a group of little guys, will join the roster as new talking guns. Notably, the talented actress Gabourey Sidibe will voice the mysterious new villain named Mux.
High on Life made a significant impact upon its release last December, becoming the most popular Xbox Game Pass release of 2022 and the biggest single-player launch on Game Pass to date. IGN’s review gave the game a rating of 8/10, praising its chaotic, bizarre, and fun space odyssey.
