PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October Confirmed
UPDATE 27/9/23: Sony has officially confirmed the three games that will be available as PlayStation Plus Monthly titles in October.
As previously leaked, the games included in the lineup are The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 22.
The third game joining the lineup is Weird West, an isometric action RPG developed by WolfEye Studios, founded by Arkane founder Raphaël Colantonio.
ORIGINAL STORY 26/9/23: Ahead of an official announcement from Sony, two of the three games included in October’s PlayStation Plus Essential offerings have been leaked.
According to reliable leaker Billbil-kun, The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 22 will be added to the Essential tier of games for all PS Plus subscribers.
The Callisto Protocol, released in December of last year, will now be available to PlayStation players at a much lower cost, providing an opportunity to try out the game if they haven’t purchased it yet.
It’s worth noting that sales of The Callisto Protocol were lower than expected for publisher Krafton, and developer Striking Distance had to lay off 32 employees in August. Additionally, Striking Distance founder Glen Schofield recently left the company following the game’s lukewarm reception.
As we approach the end of September, Sony is expected to make an official announcement regarding the lineup of monthly games for PS Plus in October.
